Advertisement Evening Shoot.

Here are the images from my evening time advertisement shoot for Givenchy. I am really pleased with the way that these images have come out, as they are exactly as I had previously envisioned. Amber once again helped me by shooting these images, using a 100mm lens. We used a purple backdrop for this image, to tie in with the makeup. I wanted this shoot to be more colourful and dramatic than the previous shoot, but still tie in with the theme. I used a red gel over the light to create interesting lighting, which also added to the effect of the images. I think that my favourite images are the first two; the close up and the mid shot. I think the mid-shot will be the image that I use for the advertisement, and use Photoshop to edit in the logo of Givenchy across the bottom half of the image. By shooting at a low angle, the model seems powerful. This captures the essence of Givenchy. I am pleased by how the skin looks in this shot, as I brought the highlight all the way down the body which shows up in the photographs. When seeing Kat about the images, she suggested that I crop the image just a little more, so that less of the arm can be seen. I have done this (see below) and I think that the littlest of changes did make a big difference in the image. I also like the second set of images, as they are close-ups and the makeup is in full view. I am pleased with how the makeup looks in these images, in particular the highlight on the lips, cupids bow and nose, and also the touch of gold on the inside of the eyes and centre of the lips. I think that the 'bleached' brows really suit this look, as her facial features are not in competition with one another. I think that I will use one of the coloured images, as I think these have the full effect. I do like the black and white images, but the colours seem to me to be a little more edgy and unique, and catch the viewers eye.
