Products -
Maybelline New York Gel Liner
Precision Brush.
Illamasqua Reflection Palette.
Large Glitter.
Masking Tape.
Look 1 - Everyday Look
- Prep the eye.
- Prime the eyelid.
- Starting in the inner corner of the eye, take a small amount of gel eyeliner and brush away from the corner. Keep the strokes fluid to reduce messy lines.
- Using the masking tape, set an angle for your small flick.
- Brush the eyeliner against the masking tape, which will create a sharp line.
- Pull the masking tape off the eye gently.
This is the outcome to my 'Everyday Look'. I am pleased with this look, as I wasn't expecting it to go as well as it did. I was worried about my hand shaking, but when I was completing this task, I was focused. I am pleased with the shape and size of the flick as it is not too large or unclean. This is a good 'Everyday' look, as it is not too outrageous, but it compliments the eye shape and opens up the eye.
Look 2 - Evening Look.
- Prep the eye.
- Prime the eyelid.
- Using cream powder, cover the eye socket.
- Using a light brown tone, begin to shape the eye socket from the outer corner, inwards, using the socket as a frame.
- Add a darker tone to give depth, and blend outwards.
- Using the gel liner, start from the inside of the eye, making your way towards the outer corner.
- Use masking tape to create an angle.
- Swipe your brush along the masking tape. Make this flick longer than the other, without making it too wide, so that it remains feminine and wearable.
- Remove the masking tape.
Look 3 - Spring/Summer 2016 Trend
- Prep the eye.
- Prime the eyelid.
- Using the gel liner and a precision brush, work into the eyelid, creating a thick line. The line should reach to just under the natural socket line.
- Using masking tape, create desired angle.
- As this is a thicker line look, brush the gel colour towards the masking tape.
- Remove the masking tape.
- Apply MAC Shine to above the eyelid, between the graphic liner and the brow.
- Using a brush, dip into glitter, and pad onto the eyelid.

| NARS catwalk look. |
I am really pleased with the outcome of this trial look. I found inspiration from a look Nars created for the catwalk. I think that I have put my own twist on this look, as it is not directly the same because I have not used a precise shape for where the glitter would be. I think this look is summery, fun and in line with the glitter trend this year. I am pleased with my graphic liner as the line is sharp and clean. I feel that I have benefit a lot from this session, as this was a technique that I was previously unconfident with. The use of masking tape really helped to create a sharp, straight line.
