Here are the Editorial face charts that I have created for Givenchy's day-time and night-time looks. My first look, is playing around with neutral tones. I would like to keep the skin tan, with harsh contour all over. I would also like to create a shadow effect on the eyes using a neutral brown-tone, to hollow out the eyes. To contrast this, I would like to bleach the eyebrows and eyelashes so that they stand out against the skin. I want to use a white-lip to contrast against the neutral tones and compliment the skin tone. I think that this look fits in well with the brand, as it is alien/ghost-like, and quite Gothic. Although I am not using black and dark colours, I wanted to try and create a high-fashion, editorial look that keeps in line with the essence of Givenchy. I would like to keep the hair down, with a little natural wave, and centre parting, with the fringe tucked behind the ears. I think for this look I would like to use more than one model, and create the same look on each model.
Here is my face chart for my editorial look for the 'night-time'. I took influence once again from the jewelled design created by Pat McGrath, but instead wanted to frame the face rather than conceal it. I think I would like to test what types of jewels I would like to use, as I think royal blues, Golds and Silvers would be effective, and keep in line with Givenchy's limited palette. I would also like to test what shapes and sizes the jewels would be was I want the look to be a little disjointed, so I think a mixture of colours and sizes would portray this effect. I would also like to look around for a central head-piece, to place in the forehead to bring this look together, but I would like to test this out before the final look. For the rest of the face, I would like to create a flawless, dewy base, with statement brows, and a bold red lip. I don't want to over-do this look, so I decided to do little with the eyes. For the hair, I think a wet look slicked back hairstyle would work best, and not take away from the initial design.
