Eyebrows

Today in our session with Fenella, we looked at shaping and defining brows. In this session, we were to complete three people's eyebrows, how they like them done, how we would suggest for them to do, and a take on a Spring/Summer trend. It was interesting to see how the eyebrow shape changed the faces of the models that I worked on, and I noted that many of us liked our eyebrows done the same way, which is down to the trends nowadays.

Health and Safety - 
Always make sure that products are clean and sanitised, ready to use. This goes the same for brushes and equipment.
Make sure your hair is tied back, with no jewellery that will interfere with the model/client.
Make sure you use a cape to cover the model/client's clothing.
Sanitise hands.
Always complete a consultation beforehand.

Model 1: Harriet

Harriet likes her eyebrows defined and elongated with a curved arch. She prefers them to be of a mid brown tone, to match her hair colour, so they are not too bold.

How I did suggested she did her eyebrows. Here I have used the above image as a base, then worked into the brow a little more with a darker tone to give them more depth.

I took away some product from the outer sides of the brows, and worked into the inner corners with more product. 

Model 2: Rosie.

Rosie likes her brows to follow the natural shape of her own, but with more product to accentuate the arch. She likes her brows to be of a darker colour.

Model 3: Sara.

Sara prefers her brows very natural, in a light colour.

S/S 2016 look. Full, accentuated brows. 

I found that in this session, many people liked the defined, bold brow look that is trending the past year. With the introduction of model Cara Delevinge, the bold, bushy brow has become more and more in fashion, with many people opting for that look. I think that brows, much alike other makeup looks change in the years, and the defined, angled brow is on trend right now. I found working on a range of brow very beneficial, as I could see how lighter haired people need a much lighter and slightly more ashy colour, as some light browns can be too red. I enjoyed this session, and think that I have come out of it being more confident in brows.
